Welcome from the ConductorI'm excited to bring the 2009/2010 BP-Husky Young People's Concert Series to the attention of you and your students. Since joining the Toledo Symphony for the 2003-04 season, I have been privileged to take part in the tremendous growth in educational opportunities for young people in our region. Our Young Artists' Competition has grown to unprecedented levels. We now have High School Nights at the Orchestra. We continue to expand our series of ensemble visits to schools throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. But the core of our educational efforts has always been our BP-Husky Young People's Concert Series - and this year's promises to be another outstanding combination of the thrilling, and the educational.
