Community Music Lessons
For nearly two decades, the Toledo Symphony has facilitated meaningful relationships between young, underserved students and their teachers, professional and highly proficient musicians. This program also serves adolescents at the Lucas County Youth Treatment Center. If you, or someone you know, is interested in high quality, one-on-one instruction, at little or no cost to the family, please contact Joan Weiler at 419-418-0037 or email@example.com.
Members of the Toledo Symphony and other local musicians are available to share their passion of music to educate students and give private lessons. Contact Rachel Zeithamel by phone, 419-418-0022, or email, to learn more.
This concert brings together adult, amateur musicians in our community and the musicians of the Toledo Symphony, to perform on the Peristyle stage. Stay tuned for information regarding the next Pro-Am opportunity.
Toledo Symphony League Young Artist Competition
Competitions for young musicians provide avenues for the Toledo Symphony Orchestra and the Toledo Symphony League to support talented young musicians in the community. The Toledo Symphony League typically provides as many as three monetary awards each year in the professionally judged Young Artist Competition and has coordinated with the Orchestra to provide winners with the valuable opportunity of performing as soloists with them at the Showcase of Young Talent Concert, February 11, 2018.
You may download a brochure, and application, and the 2017 Required Repertoire from the Toledo Symphony League website, www.toledosymphonyleague.org. For additional information about the repertoire, you may also contact Merwin Siu, Artistic Administrator for the TSO at 419.418.0023, and for general information about the competition, please contact Claudia Trombla at 419.865.4932.
Side-by-Side concerts allow for connection with the students in order to develop authentic mentorship opportunities and to increase impact on individual young musicians and on the ensemble as a whole.
