Acclaimed Violinist to Perform with Toledo Symphony Rehearsal Tuesday Night at the Stranahan Theater Open to Media
The Toledo Symphony will rehearse at the Stranahan Theater on Tuesday, February 20th at 7:30-8:30pm. Guest conductor Guillermo Figueroa leads the Toledo Symphony and guest violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg in Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, one of the best known, and regarded by many as the most technically difficult, of all violin concertos.
“A master musician at the height of her powers,” violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg is renowned worldwide for her electrifying performances, passionate interpretations and musical depth. Sought after by today’s greatest conductors and orchestras, she also has been featured on a variety of television programs – from 60 Minutes to Sesame Street -- and the documentary film of her life Speaking In Strings was nominated for an Academy Award. With more than 20 recordings to her credit, she has just launched her own record label, NSS MUSIC, which will reflect the wide range of musical genres she admires.
The Stranahan Theater is located at 4665 Heatherdowns Blvd in South Toledo.
