Description:

The Toledo Symphony is one of thirteen Toledo non-profit cultural organizations that have partnered to host a family festival, Arts Gone Wild, at the Toledo Zoo, Friday, August 8, through Monday, August 11, 2008. Created to celebrate Toledo’s artistic instincts, Arts Gone Wild combines performances, exhibitions, activities, and more to introduce residents and visitors to Toledo’s wealth of cultural experiences and opportunities. A dedicated Web site has been launched at www.artsgonewild.org, allowing Web visitors to sign up for Arts Gone Wild e-mail updates and schedule announcements.

Each day of Arts Gone Wild features:
- Signature performances by the Toledo Ballet, the Toledo Opera, the Toledo Repertoire Theatre, or the Toledo Symphony
- Musical performances by Toledo School for the Arts students
- Hands-on art activities and artist demonstrations from the Toledo Museum of Art
- Audition workshops by the Valentine Theatre
- Nature walks led by the Metroparks–Toledo Area
- Storytelling and puppet shows by the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library
- Community art project by the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo

The Toledo Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and all Arts Gone Wild performances and activities are included free with regular Zoo admission. Lucas County residents with valid ID enjoy free Zoo admission on Mondays, between 10 a.m. and noon.
