Community Impact

The Toledo Symphony (TSO) is the musical heart of northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.

Now in its 71st Season, the Toledo Symphony reaches more than 260,000 individuals annually through performances and education programs. The series concerts (Classics, Pops, Chamber, Mozart & More, Family Series, and Music Under the Stars) are the critical underpinning of the orchestra’s artistic mission and regularly draw people from more than 40 communities.

The TSO has built a strong reputation nationally for its artistic excellence and community programming. Collaborative projects with community partners are also a hallmark of the TSO’s artistic work. Education programs, student performances, and community concerts are held in schools, neighborhood churches, performing arts centers, and community facilities throughout the region.  Detailed information on our education programs can be found here.

Kobacker Society – Legacy Giving

The Toledo Symphony Kobacker Society was founded two decades ago to honor the legacy of Marvin Kobacker's selfless service to the orchestra over 50 years as a Trustee. The Kobacker Society recognizes and honors donors, like Marvin and his wife Lenore, who make a long-term commitment to sustaining the excellence of the orchestra and Toledo Symphony music education programs through their estate plans.

Membership in the Kobacker Society is open to visionary individuals who make a gift provision of any kind to the Toledo Symphony in their estate plans. Annually, we invite current and prospective Kobacker Society members to gather for a special musical presentation and update on the Toledo Symphony.

If you are planning to make a gift to the Symphony through your estate, please allow us to include your name among the members of the Kobacker Society listed in the program book and thank you personally at a future concert or Kobacker Society event. This form (ADD LINK) can be used to inform us of your gift intentions.
