A new era begins as Alain Trudel launches his first season as Music Director of the Toledo Symphony! Dancers from Toledo Ballet join us for great moments from Tchaikovsky's unforgettable Swan Lake. Beethoven's dramatic Fifth Symphony tops off the evening with one of the most famous themes in all music.

One night only—this breathtaking program brings together three Russian masters of music, including the flaming colors and soaring melodies of Borodin's Polovtsian Dances. Artist Holly Carr joins the TSO on stage and creates a panoramic silk painting during a live performance of Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. You don't want to miss this exhilarating program that includes the world premiere of Samuel Adler's haunting Tuba Concerto, performed by TSO's own David Saltzman.

Members of the Toledo Symphony Youth Orchestras perform side-by-side with their professional TSO counterparts in an epic orchestra to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. We pay tribute to the courageous men and women who served this great country and the world with John Williams' Born on the Fourth of July, Ellen Taaffe Zwilich's Symbolon—first performed in the Soviet Union in 1988—and Strauss' Ein Heldenleben, "A Hero's Life."

A living legend, André Watts is the only soloist to have performed with every TSO music director since Serge Fournier in the 1970s. Make history and join André Watts for his eighth appearance with the TSO—and his first in 15 years! We pair Grieg's romantic Piano Concerto with Tchaikovsky's gorgeously melodic and profoundly emotional Symphony No. 6. Don't miss this program of incredible pathos and passion.

Rumors of a love triangle between composers Robert Schumann, his wife Clara Schumann, and Johannes Brahms have intrigued the classical music world for over a century. This program takes a closer look at the serendipitous intersection between three young composers, poignant love, and music born from tragedy.

Claude Debussy's most sensuous masterpiece La Mer, and its rich depiction of the sea, powers an evening of oceanic works by Hadley and Chausson. Critically-acclaimed mezzo soprano Michèle Losier joins the TSO in Chausson's Poème de l'amour et de la mer (Poem of Love and the Sea).

Take a tour of the Scottish countryside in Mendelssohn's brilliant Symphony No. 3. Audience favorites, conductor Giordano Bellincampi and internationally-acclaimed pianist Leonardo Colafelice, return to the Peristyle stage for this program, which also features Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1, a work full of drama, edge, and awe-inspiring virtuosity.

Mahler - Symphony No. 2 "Resurrection"

One night only! TSO joins legends of pop culture in this light classics program. Finalist of the 2014 Sphinx Competition, violinist Hannah White joins the TSO for Goulet's Beatles Fantasy, featuring the rock group's most famous songs in gorgeous classical arrangements. Michael Daugherty's Metropolis pays symphonic tribute to the legend of Superman and all of its iconic characters.
