Welcome to The Toledo Symphony School of Music
Register for:
Private Lessons, Dalcroze Eurhythmics and Recorder Classes.
- Download, print, fill out and return to Rachel Zeithamel at the TSO Administrative offices, 1838 Parkwood, located on the 3rd floor.
- *After 5PM please drop your papers in the lock box located by the elevator on the 3rd floor. Be sure all items are in a sealed envelope with your name clearly marked.

About Us!
What Is The Toledo Symphony School Of Music (TSSM)?
The Symphony School is a place where families come to learn and experience the power of music through private lessons, group classes, enrichment activities, and performances.
When Are Lessons?
Private lessons are offered throughout the week. Group classes are held on Monday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
Where Are Lessons?
Lessons and group classes are taught at the Toledo Symphony’s Education Center, at 1838 Parkwood Avenue, Toledo, OH 43604. Select instruments are also taught at the satellite campus at Bowling Green State University.
What Is The Cost?
Most students take 30 minute private lessons, which averages out to $30 per week. This includes their private lesson, group class and enrichment activities. Extended lessons are also available for more advanced students. Chamber Music coaching is available for $15 per week. Special recorder rates are also available for those students interested.
What Instruments Are Offered?
Lessons are offered in the Suzuki Method on the following instruments:
- Violin
- Piano
- Viola
- Cello
- Recorder*
(*Not Suzuki Certified)
WHY ENROLL WITH THE TSSM?
All instructors are Suzuki certified.
All students participate in group class, learning to perform with others from an early age.
Students receive training in theory, appreciation, and eurhythmics.
Students have multiple performance opportunities each semester.
Students work closely with many Symphony musicians.
Families receive free tickets to Symphony performances.
Learning music changes lives.
