MOMENTUM is a FREE three-day festival of music and art in downtown Toledo, Ohio, centered on our revitalizing waterfront along the Maumee River. Momentum celebrates the transformative vibrancy of the arts for our city and region by supporting local artists and musicians and inviting international creatives to perform and exhibit in Toledo. The 2017 Momentum festival featured dynamic, interactive and accessible programming that brought over 17,000 attendees to the newly reopened Promenade Park on Toledo’s waterfront.

The 2018 Momentum festival will be held September 13-15, encompassing Promenade Park, as well as activating spaces linked to Imagination Station Toledo. Momentum will expand to showcase the first Toledo Mini Maker Faire highlighting diverse creators; temporary large scale art installations including Fantastic Planet by Parer Studio and the Compound Camera by Pneuhaus; and the pilot year of a new creative opportunity for glass artists and designers interested in exploring the rich history and knowledge base of Toledo’s glass industry. Friday night features Orquesta Akokán, a big band collective of the finest Cuban musicians both young and old. The Toledo Symphony Orchestra will return to the stage in Promenade Park, performing Tan Dun's "Water Concerto" on Saturday, September 15 and with music and other performances in the park throughout day.
