Grammy Award and 2017 MacArthur “genius” winner Rhiannon Giddens joins the Toledo Symphony for a genre-busting evening of jazz, blues, country, Gospel, and Celtic music from her critically-acclaimed albums. Co-founder of the Grammy-winning string band Carolina Chocolate Drops, Giddens is also a Grammy-nominated solo artist with a recurring role on the hit TV show Nashville and the host of the Metropolitan Opera’s podcast Aria Code. Don’t miss your chance to hear singer and multi-instrumentalist Rhiannon Giddens, called a “21st century revelator” by NPR, perform an incredible set of American roots music that has taken the folk world by storm.
